Why I prefer working out OUTSIDE over inside ☀️🌿
Movement is already one of the best things you can do for your health. But taking your workouts outdoors comes with some additional benefits! ☀️ Natural Sunlight: Exposure to natural light helps regulate your circadian rhythm, supporting better sleep, energy, mood, and overall hormonal health. 🌬️ Fresh Air: Exercising outdoors gets you away from potentially stuffy indoor environments and exposes you to natural surroundings, which can help reduce stress and improve your mood. 🌎 Barefoot Connection: Training barefoot on safe, natural surfaces allows your feet to move more freely, engages the small stabilizing muscles in your feet, and provides sensory feedback from the ground. While grounding feels great, claims about direct electrical healing benefits aren’t well established. 🧠 Mental Health: Research suggests that exercising in natural environments can improve mood, reduce perceived stress, and make movement feel more enjoyable! 🌱 More Than Just Exercise: When you train outdoors, you’re combining movement, natural light, fresh air, and time in nature into one activity. Same movement. Different environment. A whole different experience. Your body was made to move, and there’s something special about doing it outside! ☀️
